GENERAL: 1. Smoking is not permitted in the shooting sheds. No smoking is permitted in any area being used by a black powder shooter. 2. Range fees are paid per shooter ($3.00 per member & $5.00 per guest), per day. Spectators do not have to pay, and may not shoot at any time.
3. Shooters are responsible for their children and guests, at all times, while on range property. Parents or guardians must be within arm’s reach at all times of their minor children.
4. No alcohol or illegal drugs are allowed on the range. Any apparent or suspected impairment from drugs or alcohol is grounds for immediate ejection from the range.
5. Only authorized targets or frames may be used. No targets set on the ground except at the base of berms .. If shooting a 50 cal.at steel you must shoot 150yds. All rounds must impact the berm.
ALL FIRING LINES 1. All persons, whether shooting or not, MUST use EYE and EAR protection while on the firing line.
2. NEVER HAND A LOADED FIREARM TO ANOTHER! If you must transfer a firearm to another, you must unload it: remove any clips or magazines, open the cylinder, and leave the lever or action open. If you are not actively shooting your firearm, leave it in the above condition at all times.
3. Always keep firearms pointed safely downrange. Load only the firearm you are shooting. DO NOT leave additional firearms loaded on the benches.
4. Cleaning of firearms is ONLY allowed on the rear benches.
5. NEVER step away from the shooting bench while holding a loaded firearm.
6. If you must move about the range with your firearm, you must carry it unloaded, with the action or lever open, and the muzzle up.
7. The command “CEASE FIRE” means stop shooting IMMEDIATELY! And can be called by anyone. There may be additional reasons to call a Cease Fire If you hear ‘Cease Fire’ STOP SHOOTING! Keep in mind that Fish and Game or any other appropriate law enforcement agencies will be called if any animal, or anything improper, is shot on our property.
8. During a CEASE FIRE:
All shooters must unload their firearms, open actions or levers, and lay them on the benches with the muzzles pointed downrange. If the action will not remain open, an empty shell casing may be placed in the action in order to keep it open
9. Shooters must inform the line if they plan to go out beyond the 100 yard berm on the long range rifle range. Shooters shall not climb the berms (hills behind the targets), but must walk around them.
10. Black powder firearms MUST be loaded, at the rear benches only. Capping and/or priming MUST be done on the front benches only. 11. Do not put targets on posts, or shoot posts or sky screens.
KEEP THE RANGE CLEAN AND SAFE. PICK UP YOUR BRASS AND SHOTGUN SHELLS AFTER SHOOTING. PUT BRASS IN WHITE BUCKETS AND TRASH IN TRASH BARRELS
FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES AND REGULATIONS IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE FACILITIES WITHOUT REFUND. |
